What to Expect:

One of the few remaining historic noble houses on the island, Villa Le Scale has been painstakingly renovated to include all modern conveniences amidst beautiful antiques that even the most demanding guest could want in a luxury villa. The fully staffed property, only steps away from the main piazza offers a superb location, a quite refuge with complete privacy but easy access to all transportation around the island. Villa Lle Scale can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 lovingly restored en-suite guestrooms with sea and garden views. The villa can be rented exclusively or as individual rooms.

What to do:
  • Take a ride…Steps away from the villa near the Piazza, is the seggiovia (funicular) that carries you up to Monte Solaro, Capri's highest point. See spectacular views of the bay of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida.
  • Walk, explore and breathe in the sea air, and stroll along the Pizzolungo and the Faraglioni at Tragara to the dramatically beautiful natural arch. Or Via Krupp — the spectacular footpath, created by Frederic Krupp, a German steel magnate and longtime Capri summer resident, connecting Capri Town with the beaches and rocky coves of Marina Piccola.
  • Visit the fascinating home of Axle Munthe.
  • Swim in the Mediterranean sea at the Bagno de Tibero, the popular swimming beach where Tiberius once swam.
  • Kayak and canoe at the chic Bagni Lo Scolio Delle Sirene.
  • Take a boat ride a MUST… no trip to the island can be considered complete without having made an excursion by boat around the island to discover the numerous bays, caves and rocky creeks.
  • Under the sea — combine your trip with a little scuba diving and a visit to the famous Blue Grotto.
  • Go Off Island — if you must, day trips can be made to Naples; visit the Monastery of Santa Chiara, Piazza S Domenico Maggiore, S. Gregorio Armeno, or to the archaeological sites of Pompei, and to the towns of the spectacular Amalfi Coast: Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno.

How to Get There:
Depending on your itinerary Capri is easily accessed via Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi, Postiano and the outer islands of Ischia. You can access Naples by either train, car or plane and take a taxi to the ferry docks. It should take about 3 hours from Rome.

By Boat:
Take your pick of hydrofoils, ferries or fast ferries that will get you to Capri in 80 minutes or less. Cost runs about 20 E per person, one way. We can also arrange private transfers 24 hours a day.

By Helicopter:
The fastest, most comfortable, and the most scenic way of getting to Capri is by helicopter. A helicopter service between Capri and Italy's main cities is run by Sam Elicotteri, and take approximately 20 minutes.
